Pastor David Brown was born in Jacksonville, Florida as the son of Irving and Thelma
Brown. He lived with his two siblings until finishing high school.
“And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”
Pastor David met and fell in love with his current wife Doretia Pagtalunan in 2008.
During their marriage, they had four children who they cherish very much. Throughout the years
they travelled to different countries eventually coming back and settling in Jacksonville.
In the age of 15, David Brown was saved in his time working in Win Dixie’s produce
department. He was putting out some vegetable when he heard the voice of the Lord calling out to him. In confusion, he came out of the cooler to ask if anyone called him. Of course, everyone answered no. Once again, he went back and heard the Lord’s voice calling him a second time. This prompted him to ask his friend Roger if he had been called. When Roger said no, he became even more confused. Seeing his state, Roger said, “Remember the words of the Prophet Samuel.”
He then walked back to the cooler, once again hearing the Lord call his name. This time heanswered, “Here am I lord.” The Lord said, “Lovest thou me David”. And he responded, “Yea
lord thou know”. The lord exclaimed, “Feed my sheep,” and asked him “Lovest thou me
David?” So, he answered, “Yea lord thou knowest.” And the Lord said again, “Feed my sheep” and question him again, “Lovest thou me?” And he said the same words but this time with sorrow, “Yea lord thou knowest.” The Lord said a third time, “Feed My Sheep.”
After he came out of the freezer, Roger came by and asked who he was talking to? When he answered that he was speaking to no one, Roger said he heard two voices. He then said, “Just the Lord.” A month later the Lord gave him a vision from his Apostle Dr. Robert, to go into the military. He
joined the army in 1999, serving for 16 years and eventually retiring back to his home city. Later, he joined back with his home church. As he was sitting in church listening to Bishop Elijah Johnson preaching, he heard the voice of the Lord calling to him once again. The Lord said, “Lovest thy me.” He responded the same way he did years ago, “Yea lord thy knowest.” The lord said to him, “Feed my sheep.” And he told the Lord,” Who am I just a nobody.” The Lord exclaimed to him, “Who I have called I have equipped” He cried out, “I don’t know nothing of how to do anything.” With his plea the Lord said into him, “Who I have charged I will not discharge.”
